Through Singapore Airlines’ Krisflyer Program: Medium → Not always good availability, “saver awards” often very limited, and many top routes require a lot of points → If you’re looking for “saver awards” on your favorite routes, keep in mind the seats are released 355 days in advance. These often get booked very far in advance, so aim to beat the herd.

Through Alliance/Partners: Medium → Availability through most points is extremely limited. → Booking through Aeroplan is usually the best (even long haul) BUT there are certain periods of “availability blackout” - where almost all availability disappears for a while. At the time of writing there’s currently extremely limited long haul availability. → We’re not sure why this occurs, and there’s no predictable timing for when it ends, but this has happened in the past too. Up until November 2025, there was loads of availability as long as you booked in advance, so we are hoping the availability returns in the near future. We will send an email when availability resumes. → Short-Medium Haul generally easier with more availability even closer to departure.
