Emirates Overview
🌐 Alliance: Not a member of any major Alliance 👥 Other notable Partners: Qantas, Air Canada Aeroplan ✈️ IATA code: EK

Which points you can use to book Emirates Flights:
The Best “Top Programs” for Booking Emirates: → Qantas Frequent Flyer
Other Points Programs: → Emirates Skyward miles (easiest by far) → JAL Mileage (difficult without specific credit cards) → Air Canada Aeroplan (very expensive)
Booking Difficulty:
Through Emirates Skywards Program: Medium → Skywards gets an easy for availability, but… → It gets a hard for price. Taxes and fees are pretty ridiculous compared to most other airlines
Through Alliance/Partners: Hard → Emirates doesn’t have many partners you can book it’s flights through, and most availability goes to Emirates Skywards → Qantas has good availability for Emirates & the best prices among partners (with fixed award chart pricing) BUT the Taxes&Fees are absurd. Usually $400-$1000 per flight depending on distance → JAL Mileage has decent point cost requirements for Emirates (Biz and First), but the points are difficult to stack without credit cards since you can’t directly buy JAL Mileage Points. → Aeroplan has decent availability but uses dynamic award pricing for Emirates, so points required are astronomical in most cases.
Emirates / Dubai workaround:
If you need to travel to/from Dubai, our recommended workaround for best value is → Book Qatar Airways with Avios. Fly to/from Dubai via Doha. Often good availability & way cheaper than booking with Emirates, even compared to Emirates Skyward Miles. There is no fixed Emirates Award Chart.
